bacteria infection

I started to develop a mild fever on saturday morning but the fever was gone in the afternoon. Then it came back the next day early morning, afternoon gone and until monday morning, the sign of fever was still there. Mommy decided to bring me to see the doctor, plus I have no more fever medicine in our fridge.

I was entertained by a sweet Chinese nurse, she seems so comfortable with children and talked to me all the time and I just replied by giving her a confused look since I don't really understand what she was saying.

"You Charmaine such a pretty girl, you're 3 and so tall!"
While putting the thermometer under my armpit.
"I know you're such a good girl, would you like to stand here?"
She just wanted to weight me!
"You know Charmaine, this machine is amazing, if you put your finger here, it will make a beep beep sound here!" All what she wanted was just my finger.

I behaved very well and daddy was so proud of me, while mommy thinks that I have a super ego in me, therefore I don't look scared. I was only scared of the sikh doctor as he was wearing a turban with his massive janggut. I quickly did whatever he asks.. open your mouth... ahhhh... breath in... breath out... He suggested for blood test after that.

Mommy was super panicked. She have always been scared of needles poking her veins, sucking her blood or the drip, and yet hoping for me to be a doctor. And so being overly concern and loving mommy, she held my head until I can't turn anyway, she also hugged me tightly. I was not comfortable.... so I pushed her away and said, "tepiiiilah mommy. isk..isk... tak payah tak payah!" I went through the procedure calmly. "She didn't cry?" the doctor was also asking her. Everyone in that room was expecting me to scream and cry and they were well prepared hahahaa...well, we kids also know how to manage our emotion ok...

After 20 minutes, the result came out. I am free from denggi and viral... but slightly infected by bacteria, not so high and I don't even need the antibiotic, only the fever medicine. Doctor advise mommy to make me drink water more often. Mommy was sooo relieved.

And how to make a toddler to drink more water? Easy... mommy bought me a new drinking bottle in pink colour (my favorite) with Dora The Explorer on it!

And daddy scolded mommy since then because I have been non-stop drinking...

tonimer baby spray

See! I've told you that I am a brave baby.
I am not scared of needles.

Just before we enter into Dr. Sanjay's clinic, I rested my head on mommy's arm, of course for an obvious reason hehehe...

hey, did I tell you that I'm a breast-feeding baby?

and I went through the normal procedures,
to record my weight, height, head diameter.

I am 8-kilo!

expanded up to 67cm

Okay. Let me show you what had happened in Dr. Sanjay's clinic.

daddy placed me here, i am flyinggg....

dad : sakit sikit sija kio... jangan nangis kio...

doc : okay, let's check on her lungs... oh she is perfectly fine!
dad : *smiles widely*

doc : she has a very strong muscles. Good girl. Her tits fine, bump ok. Her focus is VERY GOOD!
*some scenes need to be sensored hehe*

doc : would you like to stand up?
dad : okay, ONE, TWO, TH.....REE
me : *quickly stand*
doc: Her shoulder is
strength. Neck is strong.
*dad was so proud, I knew it!*

THEN...

I had two injections.
First (left thigh) : Final dose of hepatitis B, this is compulsary.
Second (right thigh) : Second dose of pneumococcal... this is an optional.

ouchhh! mommy was hiding somewhere...

so deep meh?

My parents were advise to give me an additional injection, the pneumococcal because I am placed at the nursery, this is to prevent me from getting the pneumococcus bacteria.
Pneumococcal further info, click on here.

Okay... Dr. Sanjay said my height and weight are remaining top-end.
*dad kembang hidung + senyum kambing*
he stopped smiling when Dr. Sanjay said this to them, "Her weight should be maintained now, I don't want her to be more chubby. But being more taller is fine" oppsss.... what that that mean? Do I need to cut off my food intakes, my nenen? oh noooo.... I will make sure THOSE are not going to happen.

and, Dr. Sanjay left us with his advice.
For baby age 1.5 years and below, having coughs and flu-es are normal. As long as they're not suspected of having an asthma or bronchitis, syrups should be avoided.
Babies are not recommended to have ANY SYRUPS as they will be cured by themselves.

And he recommended this.

a tonimer baby spray

It is a sea salt spray. Nose block, coughing and flu? Just spray into the nose. I liked it. At least it tastes better than those colorful syrups. This spray is safe and can be used as many times as needed.

the beauty of this thing is, the cover can be washed and re-used.
So parents, do use this for your babies. Avoid syrups. We don't like them!

I only cried for a while. A very short-while.

Had a good time cam-whoring with dad whilst mommy settled my medical bill.

We were off to Subang Parade after that. I was so delighted.
I will tell you more in my next post.
Festival of Magic.
Sakae Sushi.
I will definately tell you.

viral infection

Month of May wasn't that gooood.
I developed fever, flu and cough, dad too-worst, mom too-slightly.
We have been the loyal visitors to Alam Medic, Klinik Bandaran and SDMC.
On the day mommy wrote this post, I, this small baby was still having flu and coughs.
yadaa..yadaa..yadaa...

Do I look like a sick baby?

Daddy said my flu was getting worst, so they brought me to SDMC a.k.a Sime Darby Medical Centre.
Ahaa... I was brought here for my immunisations since I was a month old.
Dr. Sanjay Woodhull, the handsome doctor hehehe, is my pediatrician.
He is good, nice and he loves me as one of his little patients.
But on that day, he was not on duty, so I get to see Dr. Siti Mazliah, she is also good and nice.

Evening clinics at SDMC weren't as crowd as normal days, Fuhh... lucky!
Whilst waiting for my turn, I dragged dad to bring me around.

Quite empty, where are all my friends?

The on duty nurse called me, to weight me. Oh for babies, weight is very important to determine how many the medicine ml to be given.

Weighing digital machine keeps on running!

and it's stop at this figure. That's my weight!

Waiting time again. Let see what else they have around.

to figure baby's height. It's a digital wow!

with the comics on top of it!

Daddy had to carry me around. I have been very cranky at times which dad had to calm me.

Resting at the breast-feeding room, cozy place, I like!

"CHARMAINE!" was that me?
Yes that's my name being called. OMG, I'm not scared, I'm a good baby!

Dr. Siti Mazliah, I am a goooood baby! trust me.

Mommy was complaining about my flu, coughs, bla..bla..bla..

"She is having slight viral infection!"
Gosh! What was that?

According to Dr. Siti, viral infection was quite normal especially for growing babies,
The cause? Environments : parents if they're sick, infected children in nursery, weather.
Nothing to be worried about as there are medicines for this sickness.

"Doc, can I have a bite of that thing?"

Okay, dad & mom felt much better after that. I guess-lah. Because I could see a BIG smile on their faces. I got my medicines and just before we leave, mom forced dad to go somewhere called...

Mom had to force dad for this. As dad had a bad cough too.
Overall, he was fine! No H1N1. pheww...
But got to eat medicines-lorrr.

Now, mom has a total of medical bills to be claimed.
Mom's company a.k.a working place is very good, both dad and I are covered well.

THANK YOU SIME DARBY!
