Mega Kidz Midvalley Megamall

I know where I stand.
A little me is craving for any interesting places to play, especially at home and at my nursery.
But I don't understand why mommy decided to bring me there.
Hey, I don't even know how to walk, or at least crawling!

It's a nice place actually, many kids would love to spend their day inside there,
especially for the growing kids here in big city,
as they don't have a big playground to play hide and seek,
catch me and I catch you... you know!

Mom used to say, her childhood playground were spent at padi field,
bushes at the back of grandma's house, or on top of the hill right in-front of grandma's house. Her evening were spent with her siblings and cousins, they hardly have those soft toys that I have now, so they would play with anything surrounding them, woods, clay, pets (cats, dogs, chicken, buffaloes, goats, fishes hehehe)....

Mom has grown up and now living far away from her hometown, yet those memories are embedded tightly in her heart. Okay, why am I talking about playground? Yes, mom brought me to the Mega Kidz.

It's located at the 3rd Floor of Midvalley Megamall, the place is huge and... yea noisy! Children are screaming, crying, yelling, sweating... all over!

Entry fees is only RM6 per child, parents are FOC. And parents are prohibited from playing hehehe, and their responsibility is only MONITORING their kids.

Luisa has been here in several times, just look at her excitement, while me...

For hygienic purposes, you must wear your socks. If you forget to bring it's ok, the very nice cashier will give you a pair and all he/she wants is only RM5. The price of the socks.

a basket to place your sandals, shoes..

This sticker would be tagged at your back, with your name written nicely by your parents.

Luisa's name is slightly blurr, she keep on moving.. whilst me remained charm... just like my name:-)

I spent time with my mom, my god-parents and Luisa my little god-sister.
Dad is.... working! How freaking SWEET this daddy, working on SUNDAY!!!
The little Luisa is able to stand, craw, and sit properly. That's why the place was hers...
She owned the day, playing, crawling, climbing and even... crying hahahaha!
I look from far with mom was next to me, she was trying hard to make me happy,
throwing the small colourful balls over to me, hoping that I throw back the balls over to her ... I wish, nonsense! How could I mom...

God-mama in action!

That day was Luisa's day!

Mom found that place is good for kids but not for a baby.
It's not safe actually leaving me lying on the mat and my toddler friends are blind folded whilst playing,
they don't even care this little me was THERE, right in front of them! They just simply throw balls from every corner, until the workers had to calm them down. Where are their parents? Later only mom found out that parents actually can leave their children there, and enjoy their shopping or any other business. Security? So far there were no missing children being reported. So the security is considered safe...

Okay, let me show you more about this place..

nice place ooo... I wish I could climb them soon..

You also can celebrate your birthday there... interesting huh.

I have enough playing for the day, which I ended...

Luisa is worst, mommy heard she slept till the next day.

That night at home, mommy showed dad those pictures taken and he got excited.
But mom said,
"tunggulah bah bila charm2 pandai empat kaki, kesian dia tinguk-tinguk saja nanti."

"Mommy, janji kio, bawa charm2 lagi kio!"

She kissed me good night.
I enjoyed my nenen.
...and I lost in my dream.

my dear magician

Daddy is easily attracted to weird stuff.
He's easily impressed with strange-odd-rare things.
strange but true kind of thingy..sigh..

We went to Subang Parade, coincidentally they're having the festival of magic.
Daddy was soooo excited! His feelings affected much on me as he was carrying me on a jumpsaac and brought me into where the festive was held.
A big crowd were grouped at one corner, we slipped in and...
wowww... a contest, they're having a contest!

These people are competing on their magic skills, and there were few categories;
children, teenage and for adults. Waaah! My mouth was widely open as that's my first time experience seeing such a weird event, mom too, oh dad too.
Small kids at age of 7 are able to do such of wonderful confusion tricks,
they're truly awesome!

Mom = food. Yeah that's right!
Dad then suggested her to find any food nearby. and she bought these.

Happy box meal set *err, mom was not really happy eating this hehe*

Fried seafood tempura

We arrived quite late for the contest actually as the emcee announced that the tiny boy who is going to perform next would be the last for that night.
The rest would be competing on the next day.
oh no! they were fun, I enjoyed their performance very much.
But it's okay, dad had been very kind hearted and bought these cds home.

mom : apalah ko mo buat ni semua ni?
dad : siok ni belajar magic, kasi tipu budak-budak.
mom : siapa? charm2? *forehead wrinkled*

dad : chabby!

my foot note : chabby is my first cousin sister. my dad loved her, she is actually a bright girl, a very simple girl with two sweet dimples when she smiles. She is the second daughter of 3 siblings, she got a sister 2 years older than her, and a little brother, 3 months younger than me.

At home. 2 weeks after the festival.

dad : kita ada double-taped kah?
mom : teda oh, kenapa daa?

dad : adalah...

After he has done with few experiments, dad got very excited and wanted to show his new ability to mom.

dad : jie mari bah tinguk ni (showing the round black and white pad)
mom :
eee malaslah, tunggulah charm2 besar baru ko tipu dia. sa inda suka lah tu.

Mom then walked off to the kitchen.

QUIET.

After a while, mom came back into the living room.

mom : apa bah ko buat ni?
dad : magic bah, ni yang cd hati tu, sa belajar magic.

mom : kesian oo ko kan... teda penonton...

dad : ada bah...

Well actually nobody was there except for little me on my walker,
and....

this girl has been very interested on dad's magic
dad : onton, tinguk ni, tinguk..
onton : dadi mo gigit bah..

dad : ok..ok.. gigit sikit-sikit saja kio!

Daddy is my future magician, but mom is not being supportive of this portfolio!

after that this guy joined them!
memex : onton, apa kamu buat ni tidak panggil sa?

dad : mex, sit mex, sit!

memex : ok dad...

and complete the happy family!
HAHAHA

Oh ya, after the show ended. We headed to sakae sushi as mom was craving for japanese food. They ordered like for 5 people dishes, minus me, actually the food were only for the TWO of them. They try to feed me this...

I don't like the taste and refused to eat. I ended up by eating mom's plain rice.

I would like to share these mouthwatering dishes!

I am pretty sure that they're yummy!

samalah pulak kan..

The beautiful part of sakae sushi is that they have this hot water tub on every table, pour as much as you want for your green tea, smart way to avoid you from keep on calling their waiters/waitresses because their cups are small, it's definitely not enough for mom.

So children, beware of hot water!
Parents, this is the right place where you don't have to ask for hot water to make milk for your little kids.

I love to leave you with this photo.

Oh I love them, counting days for my balik kampung trip...

it's our man's day

In the car, mom asked dad.

mom : non, kalau ko kena pi kerja jauh-jauh bah kan, siapa yang ko rindu dulu?
dad : charm-charm

mom : abis tu, saya macam mana?

dad : rindu jugalah bah...

mom : LAH BAH??

dad : rindu bah, rindu sama-sama charm-charm.

mom : siapa dulu ko rindu?

dad : charm-charm, lepas tu ko.... lepas tu..... baru onton sama memex!

My dad is too cute for that.

In silence, Mom said this to me,
Do always say a prayer for this man.

When he first time saw the two blue lines appeared on the pregnancy test,
His face was freaking shocked but he just remaining cool.
He then hugged mommy and kissed her.
Mommy shed tears, *well..well.. knowing this lady*
knowing that the unconditional love from the man that she loved too.

He was the one who takes care of mommy,
Her food, her needs, her gyne's appointments,
for her almost 10 months pre-motherhood journey, he was there for her.

He was the one who is really concerned about mom's health.
Even when mom is admitted into hospital for a week due to muscles pain,
his worries-ness are more than mom who was actually in real pain.

He is mom's man.
He is my man.
He is OUR man.
We loves you Mr Melvin.

Year of 2010, dad started his new venture,
by celebrating father's day.
To him, nothing is really special about that as he is a father, a daddy at all time :-)
But to a little me, it's meant a lot.
Mom did not plan anything special though.

We went to church for Sunday mass,
and there was a special prayers for all dads.

God-sister Luisa also came along with my god-parents.
My god-ma also did not plan anything special. hehehe
*it's not husband's day okay!*

We just wished each other, hugged and kissed *over the cheeks lah*
And never ever forget, picture taking session... I love camera!

me in action!

Bapak Joseph Masri from Jakarta!

We're then off to Chinese Cuisine in Glenmarie for brunch,
They ate and emptied all the plates, bowls...

happy dad's day to both of you!

I would like to leave this post with this prayer,
a well written prayer by Joanna Fuchs,
from the Church of Divine Mercy, Shah Alam.

the grandest love

The grandest love is countless.
And they're different than the ones that we received from our parents.
kan..kan..kan?
I have met my GREAT-grandma. It's grand.
Oh yes, she is my dad's grandma, so in my case, Moyang-lah kan?
She is already old but still strong, steady and she loveeee me.

The first sentence came out from her lips when she saw me was,
"Odoiii gia, sisit ku numbul lima"
*Translation: Oh my fifth great-grandchild"
She is just too cute for that.

She was just amazed whenever I giggled at her.
And got so excited.
"Intangai mai', noikot noh do mongiak" she said.
*Translation : Look at her, she loves to smile."
I was thinking what to call her, but she is a mind reader, she said,
"panggil mo'ing-lah kio...ngam la'itu panggil mo'ing, mimang mo'ing pun"

My dearest mo'ing and late pak o'ing have ten children.
waaa.... fabulous
*that's what totally spies always said*

I heard mom complaining to dad for having me as her only child at the moment.
Imagining her life if she has another one sooner or later.
and I hate to think when she has ten children.HEHEHE.

Mo'ing current addiction is mogingat, or in Malay version is makan sireh.
You should look at her tingaton's package.
Daun sireh, kapur,gambir,pinang & tembakau a.k.a sigup.
I don't think there are as yummy as my milky plain rice porridge.HEHEHE
If one of them goes missing the ingredient is incomplete. I witnessed her being uncomfortable when she realised her daun sireh were gone missing. And how happy she was when she found them in her bag, as if she won a jackpot.

Dad was saying that mo'ing was the one who look after him when he was a small kid,
dad and few more of his cousins.
Since all the parents were busy working,
so they left them with her.
Taking care of 10 children and after that continue the routine with her grandchild,
pheww... mo'ing was so amazing!

She had many buffalo once. Or in Kadazan it's called, kalabau.
And dad used to treat her buffaloes like camels,
He will ride them right up to the river and bathed the 'camel',
then the kalabau's body would shine. And they're happy.
Kalabau has a big round stomach and they're very heavy.
Sadly, all the kalabaus are gone now, no longer dad said.

Dad said mo'ing was slightly fierce which I don't think so.
She is soooo loving.
My dad must be very naughty then,
So please do not blame me because the blood in my veins are your gene dad!
kuang... kuang... kuang...

She almost shed tears when we bid farewell.
No worries mo'ing
I'll be a good girl as you wish,
I will not annoy my parents, or others.
And I look forward to balik kampung, and I'll see you there.
Play with you again and with your favorite doggy, si burger.

I might not understand the meaning of your love now,
But as the time flies, and as the time watches me growing up,
I would understand them better... later.

The spirit of you inspired me to be strong in my future undertakings,
Always pray for me this little baby kio.
I love you Mo'ing.

viral infection

Month of May wasn't that gooood.
I developed fever, flu and cough, dad too-worst, mom too-slightly.
We have been the loyal visitors to Alam Medic, Klinik Bandaran and SDMC.
On the day mommy wrote this post, I, this small baby was still having flu and coughs.
yadaa..yadaa..yadaa...

Do I look like a sick baby?

Daddy said my flu was getting worst, so they brought me to SDMC a.k.a Sime Darby Medical Centre.
Ahaa... I was brought here for my immunisations since I was a month old.
Dr. Sanjay Woodhull, the handsome doctor hehehe, is my pediatrician.
He is good, nice and he loves me as one of his little patients.
But on that day, he was not on duty, so I get to see Dr. Siti Mazliah, she is also good and nice.

Evening clinics at SDMC weren't as crowd as normal days, Fuhh... lucky!
Whilst waiting for my turn, I dragged dad to bring me around.

Quite empty, where are all my friends?

The on duty nurse called me, to weight me. Oh for babies, weight is very important to determine how many the medicine ml to be given.

Weighing digital machine keeps on running!

and it's stop at this figure. That's my weight!

Waiting time again. Let see what else they have around.

to figure baby's height. It's a digital wow!

with the comics on top of it!

Daddy had to carry me around. I have been very cranky at times which dad had to calm me.

Resting at the breast-feeding room, cozy place, I like!

"CHARMAINE!" was that me?
Yes that's my name being called. OMG, I'm not scared, I'm a good baby!

Dr. Siti Mazliah, I am a goooood baby! trust me.

Mommy was complaining about my flu, coughs, bla..bla..bla..

"She is having slight viral infection!"
Gosh! What was that?

According to Dr. Siti, viral infection was quite normal especially for growing babies,
The cause? Environments : parents if they're sick, infected children in nursery, weather.
Nothing to be worried about as there are medicines for this sickness.

"Doc, can I have a bite of that thing?"

Okay, dad & mom felt much better after that. I guess-lah. Because I could see a BIG smile on their faces. I got my medicines and just before we leave, mom forced dad to go somewhere called...

Mom had to force dad for this. As dad had a bad cough too.
Overall, he was fine! No H1N1. pheww...
But got to eat medicines-lorrr.

Now, mom has a total of medical bills to be claimed.
Mom's company a.k.a working place is very good, both dad and I are covered well.

THANK YOU SIME DARBY!
